Moorabool Antique Galleries is the driving force behind this website.
As experienced dealers, with over 50 years experience in the field, they have considerable knowledge on Antique Ceramics. John Rosenberg was almost a founding member of the AAADA (Victoria) – they began in 1957, he joined in 1958. Both John and his son Paul were founding members of the Ceramics & Glass Circle of Australia.
Moorabool has a website – www.moorabool.com – here you will find a portion of their vast stock of over 7,000 items.
Their shop in Geelong is well worth a visit, with the largest stock of genuine Antique Ceramics in Australia, plus many more interesting aspects of the collecting world.
An important part of the business is their reference library. Named after John’s late wife, The Lorraine Rosenberg Ceramics Reference Library is the home to over 1,000 books on ceramics, and more importantly, several thousand examples for study covering as many different firms and countries as possible. Such a resource is essential in the identification of unusual pieces, and is available for use by interested individuals.
